We are not really gifted at potty training in this family. I swear it's been passed down genetically since there are quite a few potty issues documented on both sides of our families. I won't go there to save the dignity of said persons. Nevertheless I had planned to potty train Cate when she was... oh maybe five. No rush here. I'm happy to clean up diapers. But Cate has older sibs and she thinks she's got this figured out. I've let walk around the house the past couple of days without a diaper and sometimes we have success and sometimes not. I think the best thing for me, a mommy with post-traumatic potty training disorder, it to not be too intense about it especially since I'm trying to get through a sinus infection AND because I'm full bore into Grace's quilt.
Eliot's quilt is nearly done but honestly I'm not that in love with it and I'm really hoping that the quilting and binding will be the thing that endears me to it. I do have to keep telling myself that it is BOY quilt and I am not a boy. Furthermore I let him choose some of the fabric which he's thrilled with, and so it's his quilt not mine. Now Grace's quilt is another story. I love it and she loves it. I highly recommend the log cabin block and I highly recommend this book .

I bet your ears are burning! Because I was chatting up how wonderful your Cate quilt was . . . and low and behold, Grace's is fantastic too!
I wanna buy your book:)
I am obsessed with sister quilts right now (even though Camilla's sister hasn't been born yet...) and just love yours. Gorgeous colors. Can I ask how you did the topstitching on Cate's? With your own sewing machine, or did you get a pro? And are they both twin-bed size? (That's the issue I'm mulling over at the moment.)
