I posted a lot of photos. Couldn't help it. There were over 200 on my camera and these are my favorites.
This photos needs a little explanation I think. We had a bear come into our cabin one afternoon. Tim and the kids went down to the lake and I was out running. I came back to find a bear standing outside the back of the cabin. I've only seen a bear once in 30 some years at the lake so I was pretty surprised. I won't go into a lot of detail but after we scared him off and started investigating we realized he had actually been IN our cabin and snacked on our trash and at up the remaining half of peach pie I had baked the night before. Here's what was left of that. I think he cleaned it up pretty good. He came back twice after that looking for more treats but we were more prepared and had things locked up tight.
On one of his subsequent visits I was able to get some photos of him. He rummaged around on the dock attracted by the smell of fishing bait.
Then he meandered up the lake.
Vulcan Hot Springs
Vulcan Hot Springs up close. This is probably the closest things Eliot will get to a real volcano. He was impressed.
